Fair Board reviews year-to-date finances showing $124,084.78 net income

A staff member presented the Bradford County Fair Board with a year-to-date financial report that showed $242,136.93 in total income and net income of $124,084.78.

During the finance presentation the staff member identified major income streams: rental income of about $56,000 and fair income totaling $157,988.04, along with miscellaneous general income. General expenses were listed at $68,895.19. The year-to-date balance-sheet figure for total liabilities was read as $187,541.25.

Board members asked follow-up questions about accounts receivable and write-offs; the staff member said certain write-offs from the last booklet return would remain on the year-to-date report for the fiscal year. After discussion, a motion to accept the finance report as read was moved, seconded and approved by voice vote.

The presentation was intended to give the board a year-to-date snapshot covering July through March of the fiscal year; members said they appreciated the overview and would follow up with specific questions as needed.
