Council approves sewer assessment reimbursement area for Roosevelt Avenue roundabout

Enumclaw’s City Council voted April 27 to approve Resolution 1872, establishing an assessment reimbursement area to recoup sewer construction costs associated with the Roosevelt Avenue roundabout.

City clerk Katie McKee read the resolution by title, and Community Development staff member Chris Searcy told the council the original estimated sewer cost was about $60,000 but soil conditions and administrative costs increased the recoverable amount to “just slightly under $88,000,” which would be recaptured from four affected parcels. Searcy said public works recommended the city front the work and later record a reimbursement agreement against the parcels.

The council moved and seconded the resolution and approved it by voice vote. No roll-call vote tally was recorded in the transcript; the mayor declared the resolution passed.
