Todd Webster, who identified himself and his Noblesville address during public comment, urged the council to slow approvals of new neighborhoods and asked why most of the council appears to approve development. Webster said rising development has increased traffic and strained infrastructure and law enforcement and asked where additional parks and green space will come from. He told the council, "If you just want the tax revenue for the city, then let's just be honest and say we want the tax revenue, and we don't care what the people think."
Webster said some council members have voted no and expressed concerns, but he said the majority of approvals leave longtime residents feeling ignored. He asked for more town‑hall meetings and urged the council to prioritize long‑term taxpayers. The chair acknowledged Webster and Thurston said he would follow up after the meeting.
The comment was part of the meeting’s public‑comment period and was not tied to a specific ordinance vote that night; council members did not take action in response during the meeting.
