At its April 20, 2026 meeting the Cloud County Board of Commissioners approved several personnel actions, recognized a resignation and approved county expenditures totaling $503,880.24.
Personnel actions recorded in the minutes include approval of Brian Mills as Sheriff Deputy I, effective April 21, 2026; a classification change for Kellie Roush from Corrections Officer I to Corrections Officer II effective April 19, 2026; a classification change for Tiffanie Aketun Wriston from Sheriff Deputy I to Corrections Officer II; and the hiring of James Metro as a part-time Utility Equipment Operator/Mower at the Highway Department effective April 20, 2026. The board also recognized the resignation of Grace Tracey from Home Health effective May 1, 2026.
The board approved expenses totaling $503,880.24 across funds: General Fund $28,460.35; Road & Bridge $183,684.78; Special Bridge $260,000.00; and several smaller funds (detailed fund amounts are listed in the official minutes). The board also approved abatements 2026-112 through 2026-116 (net change ($277.74); refunds $198.00) and approved the April 13, 2026 minutes. The board adjourned at 1:53 p.m. and set the next meeting for April 27, 2026.
The proclamation designating April 2026 as Sexual Assault Awareness Month was read by Julie Willoughby of DVACK and approved by a motion from Commissioner Ron Copple, seconded by Commissioner Dannie Kearn; the vote was unanimous.
