The Chickasaw County Board of Supervisors voted April 20 to adopt RESOLUTION 04-20-26-27 approving salary adjustments for elected county officers for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2026.
The resolution notes the board has not established a Chickasaw County Compensation Board and that the board met Dec. 29, 2025 to recommend a compensation schedule under Iowa Code Sections 331.905 and 331.907. The board’s approved adjustments set the recommended salaries as follows: Auditor, $79,827.88 (increase $3,070.30 from $76,757.58); County Attorney, $140,726.87 (increase $5,412.57 from $135,314.30); Recorder, $79,817.68 (increase $3,069.91); Sheriff, $112,044.45 (increase $4,309.40); Supervisors, $38,082.55 (increase $3,112.35); Treasurer, $79,817.68 (increase $3,069.91).
The board approved the resolution by recorded roll call vote. The signed resolution and supporting document are on file with the Chickasaw County Auditor and available through the county’s official website.
