The Worth County Board of Supervisors on April 27 approved the county’s FY27 Department of Transportation budget and five-year construction program and authorized several routine items, the board’s minutes show.
Chair Enos Loberg called the meeting to order. Supervisor Mark Smeby moved and Supervisor A.J. Stone seconded a motion to approve the FY27 DOT budget and the county’s five-year construction program; the motion carried with all members recorded as voting "AYE." The minutes do not record discussion or amounts for the DOT budget in the published text.
The board also approved a work order for Drainage District No. 10, Lateral 6, which the minutes state was submitted by Brian Tweeten. That motion was made by Mark Smeby and seconded by A.J. Stone and carried.
Supervisors approved claims in the amount of $190,679.26. The published claims schedule lists vendors and itemized amounts; among the larger entries are Heartland Business Systems LLC for $86,806.62 and Gardiner + Company for $28,675.00. The motion to approve the claims was made by A.J. Stone, seconded by Mark Smeby, and carried. The minutes record that "All members voting 'AYE' unless noted."
