The Kennesaw Mayor and Council voted unanimously to approve a retail package alcohol license for Kennesaw Mart 2025, allowing beer, wine and Sunday sales at 3055 North Main Street, Suite 108.
Kayla Willis of the business license office presented the application and said the applicant, Zohab Bayani, completed the required alcohol workshop and that signs and notices were posted in accordance with the city code. "The finance director recommends approval and the fiscal impact is the $350 application fee," Willis said, adding that a certified distance survey showed the location lies within 300 feet of a private residence and within 600 feet of a school and a religious assembly. Local code sections cited allow the council to waive distance requirements if the location will not have an adverse effect on nearby residences, schools or assemblies.
Council received a motion and second and, after no further questions, approved the license by unanimous vote (5‑0). The council did not attach additional conditions beyond those required by code and the application process.
The approval authorizes the retail sale of packaged beer and wine, including Sunday sales, by the applicant at the listed address subject to compliance with state and local regulations.
