Receivership team reports recovery progress, extends UVA leadership partnership

Superintendent Dr. Romine told the Chester-Upland School District receivership meeting on April 23 that the district has completed two of four actions in the instruction-and-support portion of its recovery plan and will extend a University of Virginia professional-development partnership into a third year to “look at sustainability around the district.”

The update focused on implementation steps rather than new policy. Dr. Romine said nearly 20 senior team leaders participated in a four-day clinical leadership program and that the district is "on track" to begin a third year of support. He also reported work led by the HR department to develop an internal internet and communications system, with testing underway and a planned fall rollout to improve districtwide messaging.
