Capitola previews new cityofcapitola.gov site, plans Monday go‑live

City communications staff previewed a redesigned municipal website April 23 and told the council the new site, cityofcapitola.gov, will go live the Monday following the meeting.

The presentation described goals to improve mobile formatting, reorganize commonly requested information (council meeting details, surf camera, calendar, proposed budget) and consolidate administrative policies and transparency resources. Staff said the team used professional photography and reorganized navigation based on a public survey of frequently sought content.

Communications staff, Chloe Woodmancy, said email addresses and URL changes would forward during the transition and that staff would retain the prior addresses for a period to ensure continuity. Council members thanked staff for the work; no formal action was required.

Next steps: staff will complete the migration and monitor forwarding for any broken links; future updates and content additions are planned.
