Morrow County commissioners approved a slate of routine consent-agenda items at their April 20 meeting, including bills and an intergovernmental agreement to secure juvenile detention services from Erie County’s Common Pleas Court juvenile division.
The board voted to authorize the vice chair to sign the juvenile detention agreement, enabling Morrow County juvenile court to use Erie County detention services as needed. The motion was moved and seconded and recorded as carrying on roll call with affirmative responses from Commissioners Michael Siegfried and Mason; Commissioner Abraham was noted as absent earlier in the meeting.
Also on the consent agenda the board authorized the county engineer to participate in a state purchasing program and approved the Marlborough County Agricultural Society’s application for a temporary liquor permit through the Ohio Division of Liquor Control for July festivities. Those motions were moved, seconded and approved without further debate.
Documents related to the juvenile-detention agreement and the liquor permit application were authorized for signature by the appropriate county official, as recorded on the meeting minutes. The board then moved on to other departmental updates and operational items.
