Jamie Brooker, director of operations, updated the board on facilities and airport matters during the April 20 meeting.
Brooker said flooring at the Board of Elections site wrapped up in the last week and that IT will separate the BOE server into a new server room to improve security and agency access. "Flooring wrapped up in the last week," Brooker said, and staff would meet with movers to schedule the physical move in mid-June.
On airport projects, Brooker said an upcoming meeting would address hangar updates and the county’s vendor license for the fuel farm so the county can begin purchasing and selling fuel at the facility. He also noted ongoing discussions about a private investment that could add an additional hangar.
Brooker flagged additional operational tasks including parking-lot resealing and improvements to handicap accessibility for the elections site, and recommended temporary signage be used until permanent signs are appropriate. The board accepted the operational updates and moved on to budget and appropriation items.
