After resignation, Pinetop Lakeside commission appoints new chair and vice chair

The Planning and Zoning Commission appointed Jeff Stearns as chair and David Wesley as vice chair after announcing Chairman Miller's resignation.

Vice Chair (self-identifying during the meeting) read the agenda item and explained the town code requires the commission to select officers for the 2026–2027 term. A commissioner volunteered to serve as chair and described previous experience chairing two homeowners associations and running structured meetings. Another commissioner moved to appoint Jeff Stearns as chair and David Wesley as vice chair; the motion was seconded and carried unanimously.

The commission then returned to remaining agenda business. The appointment is effective immediately; the commission did not note any conditions or additional procedural steps in the record.
