Jackson, Wyo. — The Jackson town council on April 20 approved a resolution authorizing acceptance of an FAA Airport Improvement Grant agreement (3-56-0014-090-2026) in the amount of $1,805,522 to fund phase 1 design for rehabilitation of South Taxiway A at Jackson Hole Airport.
Deputy Town Clerk Lindsay Lenemann described the work as a design-phase grant that addresses portions of the taxiway not rehabilitated since 2001 and called the project preventative maintenance. Lenemann said the total program of work is estimated at roughly $29 million and that the airport will pursue additional federal funding for construction.
Jim Elwood of Jackson Hole Airport said the airport has prioritized capital improvements to address aging infrastructure, referenced related de-icing pad improvements due to be completed in the fall, and confirmed the FAA is the likely funding partner for construction. Councilors described the resolution as a routine and necessary infrastructure action and approved the grant unanimously.
