Henry County commissioners approve routine consent items, $15,000 reimbursement for Knightstown Youth Sports and note landfill air-permit notice

Henry County commissioners approved a package of routine consent items on April 22, including minutes from the previous meeting, claims, payroll, the clerk's monthly report for March 2026, the Weights and Measures report for March 16–April 25, and the IT report for March. Each item was moved, seconded and approved by a 3-0 vote.

Separately, the board approved an affidavit (2016-107) reimbursing Knightstown Youth Sports for $15,000. Chair (speaker 1) called for motions, and the reimbursement was approved by unanimous vote.

The meeting also included an informational public-notice reading regarding a draft air-permit application for Rumpke at the Henry County landfill. The chair said the State Office of Air Quality had posted the draft and placed application materials at the library listed in the notice; the reading invited public comment but did not prompt a vote.
