Burleson County Commissioners Court on Feb. 23 approved a series of routine motions, ranging from equipment purchases to right-of-way permits, with all members voting in favor.
The court approved a Motorola Solutions quote (through Texas Communications of Bryan) for ten portable radios at $34,777.00. Commissioner David Hildebrand moved the purchase; Commissioner Bobby Urbanosky seconded, and the motion passed with all voting Aye.
The court approved Phase 2 for Nexstream Fiber to continue broadband work in the county. Commissioner Vincent Svec moved the approval and Commissioner Bobby Urbanosky seconded; the motion passed unanimously.
The court also approved three proposed Frontier Communications installations or repairs in the county right-of-way: Project #5339442 on County Road 430 in Somerville; Project #5324046 (Mallard Drive to Overlook Drive in Beaver Creek); and Project #5324048 (Beaver Creek Drive to Mallard Drive). Commissioner Vincent Svec moved the item; Commissioner Bobby Urbanosky seconded and the court approved the projects.
Separately, the court approved a subdivision exception request for property at 4273 County Road 236 (BCAD #13687) for Lamar Kovar, and authorized a continuing certificate on the original for bond renewal for Election Administrator Patty Lynn Vychopen. The consent agenda included acceptance of a $3,075 donation to the Burleson Health Resource Center. Each of these motions passed with recorded votes of all Aye.
