Hampshire board approves $74,000 in bills, votes 6-0

The Hampshire Village Board approved about $74,000 in accounts payable at its April 17 meeting, voting 6-0 to pay the bills after trustees questioned a lease payment and vehicle repair costs.

Trustees asked whether a lease payment shown on page 8 of the packet was the last payment for Pathlagers Place. Staff said the tenants were out of the building and that the payment would likely be the final lease payment. "So this will be our last payment," a trustee said during the review.

Board members also pressed for detail on a vehicle engine repair listed at roughly $9,300. Staff and trustees discussed the unit’s condition and mileage; staff said the engine failure involved a timing chain and that the vehicle—a 2020 model with about 75,000 miles—may be retained.

After that discussion, Chair (S3) moved to approve the accounts payable; a trustee seconded the motion and the board took a roll-call voice vote. The motion passed 6-0.

The board did not set aside additional time to revisit the packet items beyond standard follow-up; staff will proceed with routine processing and any required contract or lease closeout steps.
