The Washington Terrace City Council unanimously adopted Resolution 26-04 on Tuesday, approving the city’s annual municipal wastewater planning program report as required by the state.
Project Manager Jake Mibus presented the report, describing the sewer system inventory (miles and pipe sizes), operator staffing levels and funding considerations. "This is the annual report we submit to the state for our municipal wastewater planning program," Mibus said, noting the document is used by the state to assess training and funding needs across jurisdictions.
Councilmember moved to approve Resolution 26-04 and the motion was seconded. The approval was confirmed by roll-call vote; the clerk called the roll with the recorded responses indicating a unanimous vote in favor.
The report will be submitted to the state as the city's formal planning submittal; staff told the council it includes an overview of current operations and projections for future funding and staffing needs. No substantive changes to policy were proposed; the action is an annual compliance step that informs grant eligibility and state planning assistance.
Staff will transmit the adopted report to the state and retain the document in the city’s planning and utilities records.
