Commission approves consent items; cocktail‑lounge prohibition added and item postponed to May 5

At the start of the April 21 meeting the commission reviewed consent items and approved a modified consent agenda. Vice Chair Betsy Greenberg moved to add a prohibition on cocktail‑lounge use to the conditional overlay for a rezoning on the consent agenda; staff supported adding that prohibited use and the motion was seconded and incorporated into the consent package.

The commission also confirmed that rezoning case C142025‑0064 (Circle C tract) would be postponed to the commission’s May 5 meeting. One commissioner asked to be recorded as voting no on Items 5 and 6, expressing concern about permissive entitlements in a PDA and the removal of certain protections in a restricted covenant termination; the chair noted commissioners may register no votes on consent items.

The consent package (as modified) passed and the meeting proceeded to the pulled item for discussion.
