New executive director for middle schools introduced at Spotsylvania work session

Dr. Vaughn was introduced to the Spotsylvania County School Board and community at the April 20 work session. He said he comes to the division from Richmond City Public Schools with experience in other districts and expressed enthusiasm for supporting principals, staff and students in Spotsylvania middle schools. Dr. Vaughn told the board he has visited all seven middle schools and looks forward to continuing successful initiatives and identifying refinements to meet Virginia Department of Education metrics.

Board and superintendent remarks welcomed Dr. Vaughn and noted the timing ahead of the end of the school year. The introduction was presented before the evening's budget presentation and elicited brief thanks from the chair.
