Library Director Daniel Mauchley presented the Duchesne County 2025 Annual Library Report, reporting a 10% increase in combined physical and digital circulation compared with 2024 and a record-setting more-than-94,000 facility visits and services in 2025.
Mauchley outlined the library’s goals for 2026: co-sponsor monthly art activities in Roosevelt with the Roosevelt Arts Alliance; promote Project Read adult literacy programming; renew a memorandum of understanding with Uintah County Library for a shared catalog and physical-collection resources while releasing Wasatch County Library from the agreement to simplify processes; draft a 2027–2029 strategic plan; release patron-feedback surveys and host focus groups at both branches; keep library costs under revenues; pursue communications and community-resources training for staff; and host spring and early-summer exhibits tied to the America 250 celebration.
Commissioners asked about library-card eligibility and rental fees; Mauchley described the registration process and non-county resident rules. Commissioners thanked him and praised the Library Board’s attendance and dedication.
