Waconia board schedules May 18 joint meeting with city, assigns student-rep interviews and plans Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week

At the April 13 ISD 110 School Board work session the board announced a joint meeting with the Waconia City Council scheduled for Monday, May 18 at 5:00 p.m. in the City Hall Maple Conference Room. The transcript also records that the May 18 Policy Committee meeting and the regular board meeting were canceled, and that the Policy Committee will meet in April and June instead.

The board shared Student School Board Representatives Process Guidelines and assigned Members Wilson and Rosin to participate in interviews for student representatives. The session recorded that Kelzer-Breeden will contact Director Schank to coordinate delivery of sundaes to schools in observance of Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week, set for May 4–8.

On professional development, Chair Amott directed Superintendent Gersich to gather names of potential facilitators and bring them back to the board for review. The direction was recorded as a task for follow-up; there was no motion or vote recorded on the item.
