County staff to present proposed four-year FY27 budget next week; trustees to vote on school budget Friday

County staff (Speaker 5) told commissioners they expect to present a four-year proposed balanced budget for FY27 within a week, contingent on the trustees’ forthcoming vote on the school budget.

“I hope to have the 4 year proposed balanced budget for the FY '27 fiscal year,” staff (Speaker 5) said, noting that the trustees’ virtual meeting to consider the school budget is scheduled for Friday at 08:30. Staff also reminded departments that the current day was the last day to submit supplemental transfer requests for FY27.

Staff additionally previewed recent facility improvements at the Wallace Recreation Facility clubhouse basement, describing cleanup, new epoxy flooring and lighting work completed by county labor and noting plans to host a commissioners’ visit in the spring to show the work to the public.

No formal vote was required on the budget preview; the update serves as a scheduling and information item ahead of the formal FY27 presentation.
