Board approves bundled consent agenda and accepts personnel actions, including assistant athletic director appointment

The Franklin Township Board of Education moved and approved a bundled consent agenda (motion M1) that included multiple categories of business: monthly reports, minutes, HIB (harassment/intimidation/bullying) decisions, graduation and promotion sites, policy and regulation revisions, warrants and payrolls, financial reports, contracts and change orders, acceptance of the annual comprehensive financial report for FY25 and approval of corrective action plans. The motion was seconded and carried on roll call.

During roll call a board member recorded a "no" vote on the minutes portion of M1 and one member recused themselves from an item related to Elizabeth Avenue. The clerk read names during the roll call and the chair announced the motion carried.

Separately during new business the board introduced and welcomed Jason Yanchuk as assistant athletic director. Yanchuk told the board he is a district graduate and spoke about his 14 years in district coaching and education and his commitment to supporting student athletes.

The board did not provide detailed contract terms during the open meeting; the personnel report and motions were incorporated into the consent agenda items listed on the agenda.
