At its meeting the Energy & Environment Committee recorded two formal outcomes:

• Contract approval: The committee approved a revised two‑year consultant contract to support the owner‑occupied energy‑audit program with a $60,000 total contract to the selected consultant (recorded as $30,000 per year) and an increase to the resident rebate fund described in staff materials. The roll call recorded affirmative votes from Pius, Pennisis, Strathman, Young, Tarver and Bates; no negative or abstaining votes were recorded.

• Travel expense deferred: A resolution (TMP‑26477) to approve travel expenses for Chair Mavis Bates to attend a National Association of Counties (NACO) conference in July 2026 was introduced but lacked the required completed form and cost attachments. Committee members asked staff to provide a reason for attendance and the cost estimate; the committee agreed to postpone the item to the May Energy & Environment Committee meeting for further review.
