Greenville highlights new businesses, park plantings, transit upgrades and Tree City USA award

The weekly city briefing included a roundup of community news: Bijou, a jewelry store at 820 South Main Street, opened downtown; Republic of Decor opened in the West End after relocating from Florida. City leaders celebrated both small-business moves.

Public Works launched its annual neighborhood infrastructure and cleanup effort, collecting 14 loads weighing almost 12 tons and rotating bulk-item containers weekly to new locations for resident use.
