Resident urges review of parks committee dates; leadership committee to raise issue at full board

A resident asked the Bronx County/City leadership committee to confirm or adjust scheduled parks committee meeting dates so neighborhood associations can attend.

"I have a question about the dates of the parks committee meetings for May and June," the resident said, asking whether Morris Park Community Association and Bronx Park East Community Association dates (May 13 and June 10, respectively) were correct. The moderator said those dates were the defaults on the calendar and suggested bringing the issue to the full board for live discussion when neighborhood representatives are present. "Bring this up at the full board meeting next Thursday because they'll be there and then we can move that," the moderator said.

Staff agreed to email neighborhood representatives and follow up so associations and elected‑official representatives could confirm availability. The resident said the request was on behalf of the community, not a personal request.

Next steps: staff will email Janice and Debbie and raise the parks‑date item at the full board meeting to allow neighborhood associations to request a date change in person.
