Personnel Board notes several hires and Chair announces upcoming resignation

Staff told the Personnel Board that several positions were recently filled: Amber Smith has started in a newly reported role, Jill Lillebridge began as program manager at the senior center, and Rachel Murphy joined the town as executive assistant to the Select Board coming from Marlborough City Hall. Staff said interviews for a business administrator role are concluding and noted a part‑time parks administrative assistant resigned.

Chair Jason announced that he plans to resign from the Personnel Board, making the resignation effective next week, and offered transition support to the remaining members. The board discussed whether to reorganize at the current meeting and decided to postpone any reorganization; members asked staff to place reorganization on the next meeting’s agenda and to poll members for scheduling.

The board also noted a pending staffing/policy item (a COA nurse position at a maximum staffing level) that was not on the agenda and will be scheduled for a future meeting for policy discussion.
