Board unanimously approves personnel recommendations and affirms suspension of a student aid at special meeting

After recessing the committee of the whole, the board convened a special meeting and approved two action items by roll call.

The first motion approved the personnel recommendations, including new hires, assignment changes and retirements. The roll call recorded the following votes in the affirmative: Dr. Livingston; Mr. Brisbane; Mr. Gertz; Dr. O'Dell; Mr. Brandhorst; Mr. Arkin; and Ms. Williamsley. The motion passed.

The board then affirmed the suspension of student aid that had been considered in closed session and authorized Superintendent Johnson or his designee to notify the affected student and parent of the decision in writing, including the reasons discussed in closed session. That motion also passed on roll call with the same recorded 'Yes' votes.

Both items were routine board actions following closed‑session deliberations; the meeting adjourned shortly after the votes.
