ZBA renews Village Line Auto Body special permit for three years with conditions

The Town of Babylon Zoning Board of Appeals renewed the special-exception permit for Village Line Auto Body for three years with previously imposed standard conditions and covenant restrictions.

Attorney Laura Ellis (speaker 10) said the body shop has operated at the Albany Avenue and Reed Place site since 2016 and that planning and fire-marshal memos show no violations. Neighbor Lisa Johnson (speaker 14) said parking issues had improved but asked that the business continue to discourage tow-operator or third-party parking on South Park Place; owner Andrew Nuss (speaker 12) said he assigned employee parking in the backyard and will advise outside adjusters not to park on the residential block.

Board member Perotti moved to approve application 26-34 with the standard conditions and a three-year renewal; the motion passed with aye votes and the board closed the hearing and thanked the applicant.
