City of Battle Creek recruiting part-time officer for Bronson Battle Creek Hospital campus

Mayor Mark Behnke said the City of Battle Creek is recruiting a part-time police officer to serve the Bronson Battle Creek Hospital campus and nearby neighborhoods. The role is 20 hours per week and focuses on public safety, crime prevention and emergency planning in partnership with Bronson administrators.

Behnke described the preferred qualifications as an associate degree or equivalent experience, a valid Michigan driver’s license and a current or recent Michigan Commission on Law Enforcement Standards (MCOLES) certification within the last five years. He directed interested applicants to battlecreekmi.gov and the city jobs page for application details and instructions.
