School leaders outline $79.8 million Kittredge building plan ahead of town meeting vote

The North Andover School Committee reviewed plans for the proposed Kittredge School building project and the district’s upcoming town meeting requests on March 12.

Committee members said the total project cost discussed in the meeting was about $79.8 million and that the state will reimburse a portion of the cost; the reimbursement share mentioned during discussion was roughly 36.6 percent. The chair urged residents to attend a presentation from the Kittredge School Building Committee at a tri‑board meeting on March 30 and reminded the public that town meeting will consider the operating and capital budgets, including the Kittredge bond authorization, on May 12.

Officials noted design features intended to address access and emergency vehicle circulation, and discussed logistics for parent drop‑off and bus access. Questions from the committee focused on traffic flow, project timing and the public outreach schedule. The committee encouraged members of the public to review design and budget materials posted on the building committee website and to attend the March 30 presentation.
