Commission receives annual review of Alverno Heights Academy CUP; police calls remain low

The Planning Commission received and filed the annual review of Conditional Use Permit 21‑03 for Alverno Heights Academy’s master plan update.

Staff said the campus is about 12 acres in the institutional zone and that, as part of the review, staff provided a log of calls for police service from May through March. Staff reported 13 calls for service in that period, the most common being noise or sound complaints; other calls included animal, traffic and disturbance calls. Staff said outside of planned events the calls remained relatively low and did not indicate a pattern of violations of the CUP or conditions of approval.

Alverno representatives attended the meeting; staff said modular classrooms that had previously required extensions were removed as of September 2024 and that sports courts on campus are finaled for their building permit. Staff recommended the commission receive and file the annual report and the commission voted unanimously to do so.

Next steps: the item will return in periodic review as required by the CUP conditions; no additional action was requested.
