The Webster County Board of Supervisors on May 7 approved Amendment No. 3 to the county’s Fiscal Year 2023–2024 budget after a public hearing at which no oral or written comments were received. The board voted 4–0 with Member Thode recorded as absent.
The amendment increases department appropriations as follows: Supervisors $30,000; Sheriff $156,695; Medical Examiner $20,000; District Court/Juvenile Services $84,500; Courthouse $17,000; Bank $7,000; and Non-Departmental $2,224,524.15. The motion to approve was moved and seconded and carried unanimously.
The increases were presented as part of Amendment No. 3, which the board authorized the chair to sign. County officials noted the amendment in the official file; a copy is on file in the Auditor’s Office. No speakers offered public comment during the hearing.
The board’s recorded votes were Ayes: Campbell, Carlson, Conrad and Hayek; Nays: none; Absent: Thode. The amendment will be filed with the county records as part of the Fiscal Year 2023–2024 budget documents.
