On May 7 the Webster County Board of Supervisors approved a package of actions advancing local trail projects and related construction work.
The board authorized purchase agreements to acquire temporary and permanent easements for the Gowrie Trail Project from several landowners. Agreements included: Linco Farms, LLC (permanent .38 acre and .4 acre easements at $1.00 each and temporary construction easements), Radar Enterprises, LLC (temporary construction easement at $1.00), Landus Cooperative (permanent 618 sq. ft. at $1.00 and temporary construction easement), Suchan Ag. Services, Inc. (temporary construction easement at $100.00), and Gowrie Golf, LLC (permanent 6,892 sq. ft. at $1.00 with a $560.00 tree replacement payment). The county record lists copies of these agreements on file in the Conservation Office; motions carried unanimously.
The board also approved Resolution No. 2024-17 supporting a Webster & Humboldt County Transportation Alternatives Program grant application to connect the Prairie Rivers Trail to the Three Rivers Trail and authorized Matt Cosgrove, Conservation Director, to submit the grant application.
Per recommendation of Conservation Director Matt Cosgrove, the board approved Change Order #5 from Wicks Construction in the amount of -$18,395.01 (a credit) for the Badger Trail project. The board noted the change order and grant support in the Conservation Office records.
All motions carried unanimously and were recorded in the meeting minutes. Copies of related documents are on file with the Conservation Office and referenced on the county website.
