Webster County approves consent agenda; three part-time communications dispatchers terminated

At the Webster County Board of Supervisors meeting on May 7 the board approved a consent agenda that included several administrative items and personnel actions. The motion carried unanimously.

Consent items recorded included notices of drainage repairs for multiple drainage districts; acceptance and authorization of termination of three part-time/on-call Communications Dispatchers—Emarie Hickey, Lawrence Springston, and Brandi Webb—effective April 28, 2024 per recommendation of Webster County Sheriff Luke Fleener; approval of a Special Class C Retail Alcohol License for Sports Park Raceway (2298 South River Road, Fort Dodge) and a Temporary Class C Retail Alcohol License for the Webster County Agricultural Association (22770 Old Hwy 196, Fort Dodge); and receipt of annual manure management plans for five operations listed in the Auditor’s Office copies.

The terminations and licenses were recorded in the county files as part of the consent agenda. The board approved the consent agenda by motion; no public comment on these items was recorded in the minutes.
