The Oklahoma Senate Energy Committee advanced a series of executive nominations to the full Senate during its session.
Nominations advanced: Richard Auer to the Environmental Quality Board (five-year term ending 01/31/2031), advanced 8–0 after Senator Daniels described him as a local rancher and said Auer is enthusiastic about serving a second term; Kevin Froman to the Oklahoma Liquefied Petroleum Gas Board (four-year term ending 06/30/2030), advanced 9–0 with Senator Bergstrom saying Froman is qualified though unable to attend; Gary Kiel to the Air Quality Advisory Council (seven-year term ending 06/15/2033), a reappointment advanced 8–0 with Senator Dawson noting Kiel currently represents the general public on the council; Megan Langley to the Oklahoma-Arkansas River Compact Commission (four-year term ending 01/01/2030), advanced 10–0 with Senator Woods summarizing her rural-water leadership and community service; Jacob Bull to the Air Quality Advisory Council (partial term ending 06/15/2026 and then a full seven-year term ending 06/15/2033), both advanced on recorded 9–0 votes; and Tommy Caldwell to the Oklahoma Mining Commission (seven-year term ending 01/01/2033), advanced 9–0.
Committee members offered brief praise and procedural motions; there was little substantive debate recorded on the nominations. Each nominee was advanced to the full Senate for final confirmation.
