Board advances rezoning request for 39-acre parcel to final consideration, waives second hearing

The Webster County Board of Supervisors moved forward on a rezoning request affecting an approximately 39-acre tract in Section 36 (Township 87N, Range 27W, 5th PM). During a public hearing on April 23, 2024, no oral or written comments were submitted.

Supervisor Campbell moved, and Supervisor Carlson seconded, approval of the first consideration of ORDINANCE NO. 2024-03 (Case Number RZ2024-01), changing the property’s zoning designation from A-1 to A-2. The board voted to waive the second hearing and scheduled the third and final consideration for May 7, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. The vote was unanimous.

The ordinance text and legal description are on file in the Auditor’s Office. Because the board waived the second hearing, the matter will return to the board for the final vote on the specified May date unless additional documentary materials or statutory notice requirements cause a schedule change.
