The Webster County Board of Supervisors received and awarded bids for upgrades at the county 911 Dispatch Center on April 23, 2024.
Telecommunications Director Brian Hitchcock reported intercom system bids from Unplugged Wireless ($31,650) and Iowa Fire Control ($18,905); Electronic Engineering did not submit a bid. A separate bid for the video system monitor replacement was received from Iowa Fire Control at $5,200; a line-item for dispatch server room cleanup/intercom replacement was listed at $1,500.
On Hitchcock’s recommendation the board awarded combined items with a reported total of $25,605: i. Intercom Systems $18,905; ii. Iowa Fire Control $5,200; iii. Unplugged Wireless $1,500. The board voted unanimously to accept the recommendations.
The bids and award details are on file in the Auditor’s Office and in the Engineer’s or Telecommunications Department records as appropriate.
