Library Director Mary Geragotelis presented the director's report for March at the April 14 meeting of the Scotland Public Library Board, providing attendance and circulation figures and several operational updates.
Geragotelis said Alarm Design will upgrade the library's fire and security system. She told the board that funds from BorrowIT and from the Connecticut State Library are expected later in April to support operations. Geragotelis also reported that passes to the Lyman Allyn Art Museum are now available at the library following a donation from The Edward & Mary Lord Foundation. The board voted to accept the director's report; Brenda Gagnon moved to accept and Leahbeth Scandura seconded.
The treasurer's report for March, presented by Angela Maschka, noted the trust fund is "down slightly"; the minutes do not provide a numeric figure. Under new business the board scheduled a spring-cleaning volunteer day for Saturday, April 25, from 9 a.m. to noon. The minutes record no public comment and no contested votes at the meeting.
