Superintendent Dyer used his report to introduce Kimberly Shaw, who will serve as the new principal at West Collierville Middle School, and to summarize his entry plan since starting with the district.
Dyer said he has visited schools for walk‑throughs with principals, met with cabinet members and begun focus groups to gather community feedback. "I've now visited every school, done the official walk and talk tours with all of our principals," he told the board.
Kimberly Shaw came forward to introduce her family and said she is "very excited" to serve as principal. "My name is Kimberly Shaw. I will be serving as the new principal at West Collierville Middle School," she told the board, and thanked district staff and the community for the welcome. Shaw noted she is a parent of Collierville Schools students and expressed enthusiasm for joining the district.
Dyer also previewed upcoming events and visits, including a visit by the Tennessee assistant commissioner of agriculture to the district’s AG/CTE programs and the district’s senior‑week and graduation activities.
The introduction was presented during the superintendent’s regular report and no formal action was required; it was followed by applause and congratulations from board members.
