Millville commission votes unanimously to enter closed session on personnel matters; meeting adjourned

The municipal clerk read a resolution authorizing a closed session to discuss personnel matters and attorney–client privileged matters. The resolution described personnel exceptions (employment, appointment, termination, evaluation, promotion, discipline) and identified attorney–client privilege subjects, pending or anticipated litigation, and contract negotiations as allowable closed-session topics.

A motion and second were taken and the commission conducted a roll-call vote that was recorded in the transcript as 'yes' for Commissioner Taylor, Vice mayor Cott, Commissioner Casa Boone, Commissioner Ranallo and Mayor Dixon. Staff told members of the public the closed session was expected to take about half an hour.

After closing the public portion and the vote to enter closed session, commissioners later moved to adjourn. The roll call on the adjournment motion similarly recorded unanimous 'yes' votes for the same five members and Mayor Dixon declared the meeting adjourned.
