Dr. Cremascoli told the Committee of the Whole on March 16 that the district's strategic-planning work has included more than 600 participants across more than 50 focus groups and stakeholder meetings. She said the facilitator, Pat Greco, has distilled themes and that staff will launch a brief survey targeting parents and staff in mid-April to refine priorities for the next five years.
"We have met with well more than 600 participants in more than 50 different focus groups," Dr. Cremascoli said. The district plans to use results from the survey and focus groups to finalize recommendations and present the draft strategic plan for board approval in June.
The update emphasized outreach to teachers, support staff, parents and students and framed the survey as a short, targeted tool to help prioritize where the district should invest over the next several years. No substantive policy decisions were made at the committee; the presentation was an update on an ongoing planning process and next steps.
