Council places parklets ordinance on second reading after short-title correction

"Is there a friendly amendment to change that to second reading?" the mayor asked; Councilor Speary agreed. The council then voted and the motion passed unanimously.

The correction was procedural: staff said the staff report was labeled incorrectly and Councilor Speary proposed the change to place the ordinance on second reading. No public comment was recorded on the item. The council did not debate the ordinance’s substance during the short procedural action.
