Denton City Board of Ethics elects Aneta Ramsey chair, names Dustin vice chair and approves minutes and schedule

The Denton City Board of Ethics elected Aneta Ramsey as chair and Dustin as vice chair during a special-call meeting on April 13, 2026, voting unanimously on both leadership positions.

The board also approved minutes for meetings on June 2, July 14 and Feb. 9, 2026, accepting a set of minor edits (including a spelling correction to Kenneth’s name and notation that a Feb. 9 meeting was canceled). Committee members moved and seconded the minutes’ approval; the board recorded unanimous support.

Members debated meeting frequency and adopted a bimonthly schedule to reduce quorum problems. Speaker 2 moved to adopt the change and speaker 4 seconded; Chair recorded the vote and set the next regular meeting for June 8 at 5:30 p.m. The board noted the chair retains authority to call additional meetings as needed.

The meeting concluded with no further business and the chair adjourning at 6:03 p.m.
