Senators honor community leaders and public servants in adjourn-in-memory remarks

During the April 14 floor session the Senate offered adjourn-in-memory remarks for several community leaders and public servants.

Senator Areguin asked the body to adjourn in memory of Coach John Bean, highlighting a decades-long career coaching youth in Oakland and Laney College and recounting his community impact. Senator McNearney and others recognized Cynthia Brantley Pierce for her role advancing women's representation in politics and Close the Gap California. Senator Rubio offered remarks honoring Detective Armando Santana for his service and community involvement.
