Cloud County commissioners took a series of administrative and fiscal actions March 30, approving an appointment to a judicial advisory board, a payroll transfer to correct a fund error, tax abatements and a proclamation recognizing April as Child Abuse Prevention Month.
The board unanimously adopted Resolution 2026-06 appointing Thomas DeBauche as the education representative on the 12th Judicial District Community Corrections/Juvenile Services Advisory Board for the term July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2027, replacing Quentin Breese. Commissioner Ron Copple moved the resolution and Commissioner Dannie Kearn seconded.
The board approved Transfer 2026-0330-1 to move $1,608.56 from Sheriff – Payroll to Road & Bridge – Payroll to correct a payroll fund error. The board also approved abatements 2026-107 with a net change of ($425.84) and authorized a refund of $425.84.
Clerk reported sales tax receipts of $80,913.24 on March 25, 2026, compared with $82,902.85 the prior year. The board approved payroll expenses totaling $181,869.45, with deductions and benefits totaling $75,962.79; the minutes list the payroll breakdown by fund.
The board recognized the resignation of Emily Thoman effective March 30, 2026, approved the March 23, 2026 minutes as presented, and adjourned at 11:54 a.m. The minutes do not record detailed follow-up steps for the personnel resignation.
