Commission approves Caliber Collision site plan after staff presentation

Cody, a planner with the Planning Department, presented SP 20-516 for Caliber Collision, explaining the site contains an existing 29,084-square-foot building (Lot 1A, approximately 2.75 acres) and that the proposal does not expand the building footprint but will repaint and bring landscaping into compliance. Cody said the town previously approved a deviation in 2025 to reduce required parking spaces and that the current site plan shows 53 parking spaces (24 on-site, 29 off-site via shared parking) plus a proposal for 57 outdoor vehicle-storage spaces screened by a masonry wall.

Cody said access is from Justin Road via mutual access easements and the landscape plan brings the site into compliance with required buffers and street-yard landscaping. The presenter described the elevation plans and reiterated that this is a site-plan application with no exceptions; the Planning & Zoning Commission served as the final decision-making body for this matter.

A commissioner moved to approve SP 20-516 as presented; the roll call recorded "aye" votes from Commissioner Beck, Commissioner Getty, Commissioner Langley, Vice Chair Hobbs, Commissioner Gilmore and Commissioner Harris, and the motion passed.
