Kenneth Scott Hughes said he was seeking approval to sell beer and wine on-premises at Stone House and asked the board to grant the license while he completes delayed equipment and inspections. "We're looking to get our... permit to sell beer and wine on sale at Stone House," Hughes told the board, and described a delayed kitchen exhaust hood that has held up final electrical sign-off.
Licensing staff listed the remaining prerequisites for final approval: fire inspection, occupancy certificate, health department sign-off and comptroller clearance. "Outstandings are fire, occupancy, health, and controller," the staff member noted, adding that other application elements were complete.
A board member moved to issue a Class B license contingent on receipt of those approvals; a second was recorded and the motion passed by voice vote. The board recorded the vote with members responding "Aye" and congratulated the applicants on clearing most application requirements.
The board's action allows the applicant to complete renovation work and secure the listed agency approvals; staff said the license will be finalized and the establishment may open for beer-and-wine sales only after the required inspections and clearances are received.
