The Grant County Board of County Commissioners recorded a series of routine approvals by voice vote during its April 9 meeting.
The board approved the regular meeting agenda and then adopted proclamations including recognition of the Cobre High School cheerleading team, a proclamation for Sexual Assault Awareness Month, a Fair Housing Month proclamation, and a proclamation declaring National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week (April 12–18, 2026). The board also recognized a county road department employee for five years of service.
On consent and agreements, commissioners approved the consent agenda and expenditure report for March 5–April 1. The board approved agreement A-26-04, related to hazard mitigation assistance under a federal grant, and agreement A-26-05 for Operation Stone Garden. The board then approved resolution R-26-18, a budget adjustment request.
Motions were made and seconded on the record for these items; the meeting transcript records voice votes of "Aye" for each approval but does not provide a roll-call tally for each vote. No items were tabled or failed.
Next steps: approved items will be implemented or executed by county staff as appropriate; no further action on these items was scheduled during the meeting.
