Commissioners adopt ordinance to reinstate omitted county codes

The Bonneville County Commissioners on April 9 adopted an ordinance staff described as a technical action to reinstate ordinances omitted from prior codification of the county code.

Staff explained that when the county
pos;s code was codified, several prior ordinances (including zoning provisions, areas of impact, and electrical and plumbing codes) were not included. The ordinance before the board would readopt and include those items by reference so they are part of the county
pos;s codified code.

A commissioner moved to adopt the ordinance (referred to in the meeting as ordinance number 28136 or an ordinance number read aloud in parts); the motion was seconded and carried unanimously after the public hearing portion drew no public comment.

Staff described the action as a cleanup measure intended to align the codified code with previously adopted ordinances; no substantive policy changes were presented during the hearing.
